Sheffield Sales Manager Appointed to Fire Up Smoke Control’s Growth Plans A leading fire safety firm has appointed an experienced sales manager from Sheffield to drive its ambitious growth plans.Smoke Control Services (SCS) has appointed Michael Westbourne, aged 40, to the newly created role of Northern Region Project Manager as part of its strategy to double turnover to £15m by 2010. The company supplies leading blue-chip contractors with one-stop-shop smoke control and ventilation solutions for multi-storey residential, commercial and retail developments across the UK.Michael will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and handling existing client accounts within the M62 corridor.Michael has amassed a wealth of experience in the industry in a career spanning 18 years. Starting out in technical support, he rose through the ranks to the position of Sales Manager. His areas of expertise include smoke control systems, fire alarms and CCTV systems. He brings to the role an extensive list of contacts in the northern construction industry, including architects, consultants and sub contractors.Michael, an avid Sheffield United supporter, said:“I am looking forward to joining Smoke Control Services because it is a dynamic company with impressive growth plans and a fantastic reputation.
